Swine flu - what a dirty trick!

Grrr to Swine Flu!
Because of the swine flu the hospitals in AZ have restricted visitors to allow only people 12 and over. That means my three sweety pies don't get to come into the hospital to visit me or their little brother. That also means that the "family" picture with Spencer only includes mom and dad so far.
Darren did bring them to the outdoor Healing Garden tonight and I walked down, after putting Spencer into the nursery, to spend thirty minutes with them. After I got back up to my room, I opened the blinds and held him up to the window for them to see him. When I talked to Darren on the phone later he told me that they could actually see him pretty well.

I have been wondering what they will say here too I know they stopped doing any kind of tours or anything. My doctor thought I should take my kids out of school and basically isolate ourselves until the vaccine is available! The kids are still in school I am crazy enough as it is!! You look great and cute, cute baby.
Like Sarah said, I'm wondering if we'll have that same issue. I guess I can understand the logic, it's just hard to do! So glad your kids could see him from the window and soon they'll see him up close!!
It does stick but look at it this way you will have a story to tell about his birth. And he will always remember. It will be something special that you can tell him when he asks mom tell me about my birth.
Congratulations Heidi with little Spencer! He's very cute and I LOVE the name. Holly and I heard you were home so we stopped by last night only to find your husband and the kiddos, but no YOU! Maybe we can stop by next Tues. to make sure you're doing alright...after you've had a week to adjust:)
Congratulations Heidi! Even if you did give birth before me- I just knew that would happen! I've been having contractions for weeks, but still no baby...
I'm so sad the kids didn't get to go in to see their baby brother! I'm sure they were heartbroken at the time. I'm glad for the heads up, though. It never even occurred to me.
Happy new baby! Good luck with everything, and I hope you are feeling good!!
Way to think outside the box so the kids could see their new little brother. Hope you are home now and doing great.
Altough you are missing a few kids in the picture, it's still a really good picture of you guys! Hope all is going well with the new baby. Can't wait to meet him soon!
