Hell DOES freeze over!
The kids got stuck in a doozie of a storm on the way home from school yesterday. By the time I met up with them they were drenched. They wanted to play in it of course - so I let them. I scrounged up some wimpy ponchos and sent them out to play. These pictures make me a little jealous that I didn't join them. But then it started to hail and so after they ran in I grabbed my camera. By then the little suckers - ice pellets, not kids - had started to melt (It was still over 100 degrees!) but you get the picture.
I'm too lazy to get my video with sound out so just pretend you can hear the wind and rain a rippin'. The ponchos only delayed the inevitable, they were drenched by the time they came inside, but they had so much fun while they lasted.

I'm so sad that we completely missed this. I picked the kids up 10 minutes early from school to make it to a doctor's appointment in Chandler. The first few sprinkles of rain started as we drove out of Shamrock. Never saw anything more than a sprinkle where we went. :( I'm glad that your family got to play in it though!!
Looks like fun! I miss those days of playing in the rain. Nolan is a grump when it comes to fun stuff! Where did he come from? I swear!
Looks like so much fun. I wish I could have joined them. I've been waiting for the chance to get drenched in the rain.
That was awesome! We missed the hail though, I just heard it for a second over here...

I LOVED the rain, but for some reason I don't remember the hail, weird. And I thought I was the only one who loved tomatoe sandwiches. I could live off those things!
That was a fun day. We love the rain and storms like that. My kids were soaked also. You were good to let them go play. WE changed fast and watched it our the back window.
Maybe if I had a camera I would have let them play. =) Dang it.
It hailed when it was that hot. How exactly does that happen. I am trying to get use to rain it rains a lot here.
