Odds and Ends

I asked the boys tonight to go get their PJs on. Parker had been running around in his Superman costume all evening. Apparently when I say put your pajamas on, I need to be a little more specific.
(Yes those are Spidey pjs over and under the Superman costume - we're into superheros right now at my house.)
I get the feeling Elijah missed the memo as well, but he did manage to find some slippers right?

I'm sort of embarrassed by the trailer trash look of my diaper only baby in this picture. I seriously debated leaving it off the blog. I soooo NEVER let the older two run around with just a diaper - ever. We once had some neighbors in Utah that left me wondering if they actually owned any clothes for their child. But for some reason with Lije, every once in a while I am too tired at the end of the day to chase him down. I figure I'll just hold onto the pajamas until the next time he runs past.

Parker at least gets it. While taking off his pajama top and then the costume he said to me, "Close your eyes mom, I'm gonna get amodest."

Anywho...

I'm calling on you all for help. Elijah has/had a grey elephant that he loves to death and it now has been missing for 2 days. That's 2 sleepless nights people. I have looked in every nook and cranny. (Well of course not every one because it has to be somewhere!) I need suggestions. Where would an almost two year old drop/stuff/throw/lay-down-never-to-be-picked-back-up-again his stuffed Elly? I have searched the recycling bin, all of my low cupboards, my washer and dryer, every one's shoe boxes and dirty clothes hampers, under every bed, cushion, toy box, desk drawer, outside (twice with flashlights and twice in broad daylight), coat closets, pantry closets, bathroom cupboards, linen closets. Aarrrgggg! I need my sleep and I need some more suggestions. The car and garage have been searched as well. Normally I would rule that we lost it out and about but it just happens that we didn't go out that day - at all. So bring it on. Where have your wee ones "lost" things?

Disclaimer: I haven't actually searched the kitchen garbage because you know...ewwww! Besides I am saving that for Darren. I'm all about him feeling needed around here.

at Grandmas house, Walmart, or in the car!! We just went through that today, I hate taking the house apart looking for their treasures! Good luck!

and p.s. Kosty always just wore a diaper before it got cold.

I've found many 'treasures' inside pots and pans and tupperware that's all stacked up. Lexi had that happen with a stuffed dog, and my dad brought her a new dog. It helped make it through until we found the original at Aunt Meggie's. Good luck! I know how rough those nights are.

I like finding things in the fridge. It keeps the item from spoiling till we find it I guess. I also find things tucked WAY under their covers and between their bed and wall is a treasure trove of long lost items never thoguht to return.

Running around in just a diaper was right at the top of my list (along with letting them wear PJ's to the store) of things I swore my kids would never do--that all went out the window once I actually started having kids! We've all done it, so don't be ashamed! Good luck with Ely!

I know that Elly didn't make it home with us! Sorry! Did you look outside by the swings? That was the last place I saw it! Good Luck! Love the diaper look!

Thanks for all the tips.....I'm on a mission, and I'm definately going to try them out. As for the rice, when we were kids, and we had leftover rice, we would eat if for breakfast with some butter and syrup. It's not a yummy with brown rice, I prefer white, but that's what I had left over. Megan and I absolutely love it, and so do my girls. But it totally grosses out Jeremy and Nolan! Neither one of them will even try it. I know it's stange, but I like it!

My kids are always in just underwear. The minute we get into the house they strip down. Our neighbors totally think we're white trash...but this is sunny warm AZ, who cares? :)

Oooh, that's a tough one. Check over the walls in your neighbor's backyards and then look in any packpack/bag/purse in the house. Grace always puts things in packpacks and then we can't find them...her teddy, the remote controls, you get the idea. Good luck!
Oh, and that rice and syrup thing sounds nasty....:)
