Stewart's Christmas Nativity Pageant - 2007

"Blessed art thou among women."

Alexia has come along way. The first time she was Mary two years ago, she fought tears the entire time because she was embarrassed. Isn't she adorable?

Mary and Joseph making their way to Bethlem on the donkey

(aka Bess - the Man from Snowy River's horse)

"And she brought forth her first born son and wrapped him in

swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger."

Shepherds abiding in the fields, keeping watch over their flocks by night.

"Fear not, for behold I bring you glad tidings of great joy."

A visit to the stable by the shepherds. See the dog, donkey, and cow (piggy bank)?

Wise men saw a new star in the east.

Pretty handsome looking wise man, if I do say so myself.

"And they brought gifts; gold, frankensense, and myrrh."

I was reading this part of the story and when Darren opened the box to give his gift, Joseph reached out and said, "Thank you."

We love this tradition. At least I do. I think the others are growing into it. My family did a nativity pageant every Christmas Eve growing up. It adds such a special feeling to Christmas. I have played all of the roles except Joseph and my parents have the pictures to prove it.

Christmas 1983

My brothers Randy - 8 (shepherd), Scott - 2 (Joseph), my sister Alena - 4 (Mary), Me - 5 (Angel), my brother Brad - 9 (Wise Man)

These are great pictures! I love the old photo. What a cute girl, and what a cute mom. I'm so glad you are blogging. It is such a fun, fast way to keep in touch. And yes..I do recall many rock n' roll sessions at Carousel Court.

I'm so glad we can be blogging buddies now! That picture on the top is by far THE BEST! I love your nativity play-by-play (I'm glad we're not the only ones sporting the card board manger) and I was dying reading your dishwasher post--thanks for a the good laugh!
