I should do a post about other things...

We had a great spring break so I promise a post about that soon.

Spencer is Six Months Old! - March 21st

I can't believe how fast it has gone! Spencer hit his half year mark on the Sunday we were in New Mexico. How about a little trip down memory lane?
One Month Old
Two Months Old
Three Months Old
Four Months Old
Five Months Old
And here he is with his chuncky cheeks at six months old.

He's so smiley and giggly and his laughs get us all going. He is still a big chub of love that likes a good snuggle, but now this kid is on the go! While he does love his exer-saucer, he likes being on the floor with toys better. That way if no one is watching he can roll on over to whatever is on the floor and make a mess of it. No more homework left laying around - we've learned this the hard way. He pretty close to sitting up on his own and now he is up on his knees, propelling himself forward to get to toys.

Photography Blog

Hi Everyone!

Ii realized today that in the last month there are more pictures of other people on this blog than of members of my own family. So the time has come for a separate blog for all the fun I'm having with my camera. {Calling it "my photography" sounds so retarded. I'm just not there yet in my mind.} You can find a link to that blog on top of the right side of this one. Link it to your own and feel free to stop by anytime. Jennie, you will find a few more from Kinley's session over there.

And now I'm off to post a few pictures of the people who live at MY house! -- Heidi

I love freckles!

I have run into a bit of a problem. I am getting better at this. Maybe that sounds like I'm bragging, but I don't mean to. I'm pleasantly surprised. The problem I'm having is that during a session I am so paranoid about not getting it right that I take a lot - no, a TON - of pictures!

There were so many great shots from Kinley's session and I am going to have a hard time deciding which ones to edit. She was so full of spunk and sass and sweetness. After going through them several times though, I kept coming back to this one. I just love everything about this picture - her sweet smile, those beautiful blue eyes, her favorite blanket around her shoulders (it was 7:30 in the morning and a bit chilly). Look at her lovely locks and the freckles...oh my...her freckles are adorable! I'll post more later but this sweet one is for her momma.

Steere Family Pictures

I'll admit it...family pictures scare me. So many people to try to get in focus/looking at the camera/smiling all at the same time. But they are fun too, because of the silliness involved in trying to get all of that to happen. These are some of our good buddies. Our family loves these people!

The Holbrook Girlies

Renae has been so patient waiting for a glimpse. I thought I'd share a few pictures of her cuties before she gets her CD. These sweet things are the sisters of Mister Jensen. Little 18 month old Briar was the star of the show, but her momma wanted some sister pictures too and big sister Makelle was so easy to photograph.

One of the things Briar's mom told me was that this little girl loves food. I decided to have fun with it.If you look at her hands in this next one you can see a gummy lifesaver. Those little cheekies were stuffed full of them!

Moral Support

We haven't really been up to much around here. More of the same really. I've got some photo sessions planned this weekend and cleaned off my SD card. I do love coming across photos you didn't remember taking.Darren and Parker rebuilt a bike that fits Parker a little better than his old one. That left the Red Rocket available for the next boy. We picked up some new training wheels and grips for it and told Elijah it was now his. It's hard work leaving a tricycle behind. Parker was doing his best as a big brother to be supportive while making sure the right instructions were given. He stayed close just in case Lije ran into trouble and needed some help.

Being a big brother is a very important job you know.

My conversation with Parker the other day:

Mom are we going to have more babies?

Well I don't know Parks. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

If we did, I would be so proud.

What do you mean proud babe?

Well I'm pretty sure that Spencer would make a good big brother mom.

Don't Ask

Because really I have no idea. One thing I can say for sure. Parker has a WILD imagination and if he has nothing to do, he's going to find something.

Happy Love Day

We celebrated Valentine's Day with the kids on the actual day with heart pancakes and goodies from Grandma. Darren and I celebrated on the 19th with a few friends. More on that later when I get some more pictures from those that actually used their cameras, but look at what our date started with:Now while we are on the subject of love, have I told you how this little guy melts my heart? Oh I have? Well okay then.

Spencer is 5 months old

Man it's going by fast. Baby love is five months old today. He is squeezie and chubby and that's just the way we love them around here.
He wears 6-9 month old clothes, is in a size three diaper, loves applesauce mixed with oatmeal cereal and would trade me in for pear juice any day. He sleeps through the night and if not, I just kick Darren and he goes to put the pacifier back in his mouth. Spencer nurses first thing in the morning and just before bed. He gets excited when he sees a bottle coming towards him. He's slowly adopting the two long naps during the day and a short one in the evening. He prefers his belly when he is playing on the floor. He rolls off the blanket and clear across the room but hasn't figured out how to get back the other direction so he gets stuck up against things like the entertainment center, the trunk or the piano. He loves the exer-saucer and just recently (after I sat the seat up) enjoys the swing. I wash a batch of his clothes every other day. I miss his long hair - big time. He's still a snuggler, loves to be held and lays his head on my shoulder when I pick him up. He drinks 6 ounces in his bottle or a bowl full of food. He's a happy content baby and that has been a serious blessing to me.

Miss Sadie

Wow this was fun! I can't even tell you how much fun it was to play with Sadie. Her mom had a ton of great ideas and Sadie is such a smiley little nine month old. What a cutie pie! I'd take her picture any day.

Oh No!

The other day Darren and I were driving back from New Mexico. I ran my hand through my hair, went to drop the stray strands on the floor and gasped when I saw that in the mix was a long white one. I held it up to Darren who promptly swore it was just really blond. Now my hair is weird. If I pulled out ten strands they would all be so different. Some are really thick and course and almost black. Some are soft, thin and blond. Some change in color or texture from top to bottom. I'm used to finding blond hair come out of my hair even though I'm definitely brunette. But this was most certainly not blond - it was white I tell you - WHITE. But it was so long! How could I have missed it? How could Darren have missed it? A few of my friends complain about gray hair already and so I've been on the lookout ever since. Darren has been given implicit instructions that as soon as he sees gray in my hair he has to tell me so I can start being a slave to the salon. My first gray hair at 32? How sad.

My Men

Remember when my boys looked like this?

Now my boys look like this.
What did we ever do without that little guy?
