Double Digits

Alexia had a birthday today.  She turned the big One OH!  I can't believe it was ten years ago that she made me a mother.  Looking at this picture gets me all teary eyed.  Where did the time go?  She has become the most beautiful girl, inside and out.  We're so proud of her.

Because her birthday was also Easter this year we wanted to give her a day to celebrate all on her own.  I arranged with a friend to keep the boys while Darren and I took Lexi out to dinner on Saturday night.  We headed to Chilies and the three of us had a great time together.  I told the server that we were celebrating her birthday and after dinner out came a bunch of people ready to sing to her.  Alexia was terrified!  She's so much like her daddy that way.  Enjoy the video.  From the look on her face you would have thought they were giving her poo on a plate instead of a big brownie sundae! :)

Sierra made Lexi a card like a month ago but then Paityn got to it and now I think she picked her up a postcard when we were in California so I will try to get it sent out soon. Tell her we all say Happy Birthday and hope it was a great one!

Happy Birthday Lexi. I hope it was a special one. I kind of understand. When your mom, Alena and Katie took me out to eat on my Birthday in Utah I had to dance around a sombrero and I was so embarrassed that I cried. Happy Birthday kiddo.

Oh, man, that video is priceless. That's EXACTLY how I would feel. Lexi handled it well. Happy Birthday, Girl! We're so glad that our little girlies have such a great example to look up to.

Hey, this is Katie, not Melissa that gave that last comment! She commandeered my computer! And becca, I don't remember that sombrero story at all. Are you sure I was there?

Becca, was it Lindsay not Katie? I remember there were four of us there. Did you really cry? I don't remember that. I DO remember that we all had to do it and I COULD NOT believe that Alena actually did it with us. Ah good times.
